Apart from Jesus we can do NOTHING ☀️
‘My mother died today’, she uttered, tears of extreme anguish flowing from her sorrowful eyes. I offered her my deep sympathy. I shared words of comfort from my deepest heart. She accepted my prayer leaving my door a little lighter, tad brighter.
Thing is she would not normally look on me as a friend. Quite the opposite in actual fact. Her lack of kindness hurt and horrified my family and I many times in our lives. But in her hour of trouble she came to me. Jesus comforted her through me, I merely the instrument. What a precious privilege was mine in her hour of darkness. Yes it is true: ‘If God could use a simple donkey then He can certainly use me’.😄
Jesus is Love. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Jesus is EVERYTHING!. Walking with Him, being His Hands and Feet scatters love wherever we roam. As Jesus Love seeps into every corner of our heart then there is no longer space leftover for anything else but Love. What a revelation🎆
Miraculous event at my door. Our God is a God of surprises!!
‘Blood May flow in the streets of Montgomery before we gain our freedom but it must be our blood that flows, and not that of the white man. We must not harm a single hair on the head of our white brothers’. (Martin Luther King Jnr.)

Veni Creator Spiritus.🕊
Come Holy Spirit fill our minds with Your truth. Fill our hearts with Your love. Amen
I offered my prayer to a lady assuming she was Ukrainian. ‘I am Russian’, she spoke sternly. ‘Ohh😀 my prayer is for Russian, Ukrainian, English, Irish, EVERYONE’, flowed from my deepest heart. In an instant the lady’s whole demeanour changed, smiling softly she replied: ‘Thank you. I will read it. I teach English to Ukrainian people. It is disgusting what is happening right now’. Once again Holy Spirit to our rescue, beauty from ashes. Moment of transcendence and peace.
‘The Grace of the Holy Spirit knows no delay’. (St. Ambrose)
On way home from Church some hours later, relaxing on a bench gazing on the tranquil river, young guy came and sat next to me. ‘You gave me a prayer one time’, he said. ‘I have a lovely prayer I can share with you right now if you wish’, I replied. There ensued wonderful sharing.
In school he had no choice but learn about God and when schooldays ended so too did his interest in God. ‘I will say this prayer though’, he added placing it in his pocket. As we parted company I could not help noticing the words inscribed on his colourful t-shirt; ‘Ain’t nobody praying for me’. Wow! Definitely another Holy Spirit encounter.
Seamus told me that my live-streamed 3PM Holy Rosary in Church greatly disturbs his afternoon aperitif in his garden. He lives right next door to Church. Hearing me pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory got him pondering sombrely if such a place might actually exist. I told him I was happy to rattle his cage and one day he will be glad too. Seamus accepted my prayer - ‘Just in case 😉’
Adam, my ever faithful window cleaner told me he may be able to clean my windows on Monday. ‘Place me at the bottom of your list and if you happen to have a window....’, I told him to which he added: ‘I have lots of windows’ 😂😂😂😂. Perfect pun!!
‘The human heart must be grasped by God’s Love because nothing of human making can ever satisfy it’. (St. Bonaventure)
‘If you really do good work and grow creatively, other people will be attracted to you as surely as migrating birds are drawn at night to a powerful beacon’. (Ernest Hemingway)

Glorious gallivanting 🎶☀️
Tridentine Holy Mass in St. Peter and Paul’s Church Cork city this morning. Beautiful beyond words. I love Holy Mass with all of my heart and soul.
In a doorway a lady lay sleeping under a duvet. She seemed really comfortable. I gently offered her my prayer and widow’s mite. She accepted gratefully before falling back to sleep again. How she could relax and trust in that environment gave me much food for thought.🧐
Many wonderful prayer- sharings. Marianne and Annie remain joyfully in my heart. Holy Spirit definitely present in both encounters. Profound.
Ellen told me that she is lonely all the time since her husband passed away three years ago. Stray cats visit her and now she has far more 🐈 than she can cope with. Ellen is lonely and tired. ‘Perhaps God is sending them to keep you company. Have you ever thought of that?’ I suggested. Her reply surprised me lifting my heart: ‘When I get too overwhelmed I say: “These are your cats Jesus. You need to help me now’. Ellen’s loneliness will be a distant memory one day soon.
Valentine from Ukraine spoke very little English. She cried sorrowfully. I can not get her out of my mind. ‘Would you like a coffee’, I asked her. Her reply: ‘No thank you. I must walk - walk - walk’, as she tried with all her might to smile. Gracious grief-stricken lady in my heart and prayer this night.
Glorious gallivanting courtesy of my new ‘Free bus pass’. What a Mighty God we serve. 🎆
‘The Lord wants us to make our lives masterpieces through the ordinary things, the everyday things we do. We are called to bear witness to Jesus, right where we live, in our families, at work everywhere, even just by giving the light of a smile, a light that is not our own - it comes from Jesus’. (Pope Francis)
